This teapot is known as Xishi (same name as one of the renowned Four Beauties of ancient China). It was handmade by a very potential artist LIU Shi Yi 劉詩意 who is skilled in traditional handcraft pots. The shape is round and smooth. It shows that the artist’s work is remarkable.
The clay is Hongpilong purple clay from Huanglongshan. It was named as Hongpilong (means Red Dragon’s skip) due to the color of the mineral surface is dark red. It contains a lot of mica that makes its colors beautiful and unique.
