This is a very famous teapot made by the Yixing Zisha Craftwork Factory bewteen 1980 ~ 1990. It is called "Ting Zhu" means a vigorous bamboo. Each part of the teapot is designed as bamboo. Because its vivid forms and high quality, it has great aesthetic value as well.
The clay is old purple clay containing a lot of iron particles and mica which are very good for brewing tea. It is both worth appreciating and collecting.
